Today was a special day for the newly registered Year One students of the College of Medicine. The first gathering was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Khanda Abdulateef, the Vice Dean of the College, who warmly welcomed the students and encouraged them as they begin their journey.
During the orientation, students learned about the teaching process, their schedules, college rules, and the layout of the administration building.
The session also included talks from the Head of Medical Student Activities (MSA) and a member of Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL), who explained how they support students and contribute to college life.
To finish the day, senior students took the newcomers on a campus tour, helping them feel more at home.
We are excited to have you with us and wish you all the best as you start this new chapter. Welcome to the College of Medicine!
Our senior medical students, through the Medical Students Activity (MSA) initiative, created a welcoming environment for new students by setting up an assistance desk to help with registration. They offered guidance, small welcome gifts like pens, a printed college history, and a brochure for the Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) crash course on medical terminology. A campus tour for new students is also planned for next week.
